# Bridge

### How It Works

The bridging process is designed to be secure, transparent, and easy to follow:

1. **Choose your destination chain**
2. From the Bridge interface, **select where you want to send** your BitUSD.
3. **Enter the amount**
4. Specify **how much BitUSD** you’d like to move.
5. **Review the bridging fee**\
   A small fee, payable in BitUSD, will be clearly displayed before you confirm.
6. **Request approval**
7. The frontend automatically makes a request to our JSON API, which generates a time-limited approval signature hash for your transaction.
8. **Bridge execution**\
   On the sending chain, your BitUSD tokens are burned.\
   On the destination chain, the same amount of new BitUSD tokens are minted.
9. **Track your transfer**
10. You’ll be able to follow the transaction’s progress directly in the frontend while waiting for your BitUSD to appear on the destination chain.<br>
